What it is is never certain

It has been said that Fate is a cruel Mistress. She can take and she can give.

Once people are connected by her red string, there is no separating them. Even Destiny cannot break her bonds.

However, sometimes even Fate gets bored, and when she does, she plays little games. Some of her games are cruel, some of them are light, but all of them are impactful. Something will be learned from her games, whether the participants know it or even want it.

It's never the same time of day when She pulls you from your world, from your comfortable existence to another world. Her world? Another's world? Who knows. But there is no reasoning with her. Once you are there, you have to find a way out, and the only way out is through.
